All-new updates out now for Real Racing 2 and Real Racing 2 HD

We’ve just released updates for Real Racing 2 and Real Racing 2 HD, bringing both games to v1.11.

These updates include several improvements to multiplayer, an expanded career mode and visual enhancements for Real Racing 2 and various performance tweaks and fixes.

The biggest changes have been to multiplayer, specifically to reduce the impact of malicious drivers and to minimize the side effects of high latency connections. These improvements should result in fairer and more competitive races.

Here’s a complete list of changes for Real Racing 2 HD v1.11:

Significant multiplayer improvements:
- Preventative measures to counteract wall-riding.
- Fairer track selection and new track voting system.
- Visual indicators for drivers with high latency.
- Reduced teleporting and other artifacts caused by high latency.
- New method to minimize the impact of malicious and extremely high latency drivers.
- Leaderboards now display a graph of personal best results.
- Result times will no longer appear as “0:00:00″.
Visual improvements to body roll and wheel simulation.
Players can now buy cars and upgrades via In-App Purchase.
Clock precision has been enhanced and Time Trial results achieved offline are now uploaded the next time you are online.
Purchased car upgrades can now be disabled. This will alter the vehicle’s P-rating.
Players may trade their only car for another, provided they have the cash to make up the difference.
Skid sound effects now increase gradually.
When starting a new game, only the Volkswagen GTI and Volvo C30 can be purchased.
Additional in-game notification of new content, updates and features.
The replay camera now moves more naturally when following vehicles.
Fixed an issue that could result in a loss of gyroscope control.
Various performance optimizations, including fixes to address intermittent crashes.

7 new career events including:
- H2NRG Cup
- Nissan GT-R H2H
- IEJ Grand Elimination
- Telkodata Desert Enduro
- Zannoil V6 Sprint Series
- IEJ Volkswagen Scirocco R Time Trial
- IEJ Nissan Upstart Mola Z Time Trial
Anti-aliasing support for 3rd generation devices.

Plain and simple THE UPDATE SUCKS !!! my car is 3 to 5 sec SLOWER depending on the track. Give us a new track give kings to a stock car game. And please undo what the hell ever you did to us serious I almost gave up this game it sucks that bad. When it takes a driver 200 plus hours to get a car to drive and handle a certain way and then you change it on him WTF WERE YOU GUYS THINKING. Tell the guys responsible for the update to make little versions of themselfs and run back and forth across the straight-aways so me and the rest of the guys can splater them all over the track. At least we will feel better about it ! :-)

I am wondering what items are being worked on for the next update. I have left a few messages outlining items that I think need to be addressed for the next update. I hope that the next update is comprehensive, covering all the improvements (and suggestions) that have been made. I hope to also know of an expected release date, if possible. This is a good title, but the problems introduced in the latest version, as well as many suggestions, need to be made available in the next update. We patiently await.

I love the game but I would love for new cars to be added, like Ferrari and Bugatti. Maybe even motor cycles. Plus the crashes could be way more destructive than just a broken bumper. Is there going to be a RR 3?

No need to advise again how bad the updates are, everyone knows and hates them. But why now I am getting continual “lost connection with the game server” and the game suddenly ends mid race. Does this happen to anyone else??

We fixed the majority of game server connection issues early last week so we're surprised to hear that you're still seeing this. Please ensure that you're playing on a stable WiFi connection with minimal interference from other devices, and that you're playing the latest version of the game (1.11 for iPhone/iPod, 1.11.01 for iPad).

Yes playing latest version but still happens several times 3 out of 4 last races. I have stable N speed WiFi with good trs rates.

More importantly are you going to revert to the old game (Pre update) or are you persisting with this ridiculous game?

Hell, I can't even get into half the races. ,you need to complete levels to move on and when I log into a race the game just closes. This is junk!

Why does the Chengnan track go absolutely dead at the second corner following the uphill straightaway? My car absolutely dies as if the engine has been shutdown. This also happens approaching the first overpass on the MontClair circuit. I am not clueless…I am ranked 18th.

Strange, we haven't heard of any major issues like this. Could you please report it to our support site for maximum exposure? We'd like to see how common it is, if other players have had this happen then they'll probably respond to the topic.
Some video footage of it occurring would be great too, if possible.

It happens to everyone all the time. Frustrating to know how great this app was before this latest update. I almost wish that I had never played the previous version…then I wouldn't have known the difference. Sad and disappointing.

When I use manual acceleration it now slows down slowly to a stop. When I first started using it was great for the few races. Is there a fix for this?

An event is restricted because of the 75-82 Prating. I have 75, so why am I still restricted?
