Real Racing 2 Party Play Update Available Now

For Party play is it only the host that has to be iPhone4S or can the participants be iphone4 (not-S)?

Great update! Looking stunning on ipad 2! But what’s up with the 1080p output? The screen on my tv is 90 degrees tilted!

why a hacienda for the start screen. i mean i understand there are better reflections and refractions , i now there is also a nice fountain animation in the background looks great but what has this to do with racing??
i think a nice pit stop would be more convincing ;-)

in the replay there are no labels of the driver anymore  (ip4) ;(((
is it possible to bring them back? it was one of the things i really liked on the previous update!!!

I don’t know if this is an aisled case, but when I use the airplay, the game flickers…

When will we be able to pause, stop, rewind in replay mode?

I agree with you. The pilot’s menu is called “pitlane”, so it could be more realistic to see a great garage, or in the pitlane (or paddocks…)
There could have more than one menu, and when we launch the game we could be in a different place each time… That’s could be a great idea.
For example in a garage with GT cars, and in town with tourism cars at the beginning of the game…!

Well i’m running iOS5 on my iPad2 and the Apple TV is running the latest firmware.  I get the sound over the airplay but not the video.

If i exit the game and run AirVideo or the build in videos they play on the TV fine what am i missing?!

How do I start it the AirPlay? I’ve searched and searched.

Woohoo found it!! -  Just double-click the Home button, swipe all the way to the right, and select AirPlay Mirroring

Only the top left corner theres a hidden pause button press it during replay

Is the improved graphics only applies in pit lane? I don’t see significant improvement in racing or I need to reinstall the game

hi, i have the mirroring working fine to my tv and the telemetry on the ipad screen, but the gameplay is very choppy in particular when there is a lot of action such as a collision, it stops and freezes.

any help needed

running ipad 2 ios5, apple tv 2, with llatest update.

Yes, as long as you’re using an iPad 2 or iPhone 4S.

why is there still no private multiplayer just like the one in Real Racing (1)? just to invite game center friends to a private game? still missing this feature since the game has been released!

ok i have solved my own problem i think, i was getting choppy gameplay freezing up, on my ipad 2, apple tv, airplay to big tv. if i turn my ipad the other way round it works ok, so am i blocking the air play signal with my hands or something? the way that works for me is with the volume control at the top of the ipad. can it be this simple?

Installed all the latest updates on iPad 2 and Apple TV. For some reason the app crashes once it gets past the initial movie via AirMirroring.

Anyone has same issues?

Try this:

Close all currently running Apps
To see which Apps are currently running on your device, quickly press the Home button twice while you’re on your device’s main menu. This will display a multitasking tray at the bottom of the screen with icons representing each App currently running in the background. To close these Apps, hold a finger on one of the icons until they all start to wiggle. When they begin to wiggle, a small (-) symbol will appear on each icon. Tap the (-) symbol on each icon to close all of the currently running Apps.

Reboot your iDevice
Hold your device’s power button until a slider appears on screen. Slide the slider to turn off your device, the power down process will take a fairly short amount of time. Once the device is fully turned off, press the power button once more to turn it back on. It will again take a short amount of time to fully turn on.

Once you’ve closed all Apps and rebooted your iPad, please launch the game. Visit our support site for more help: http://www.firemint.com/support

Well, I got the iPhone version on my iPad because it cost less. Does that mean I don’t get party play

Which model iPad are you using? Party Play races can only be hosted by players using an iPhone 4S or an iPad 2.

My 4s locks up as well. My 3GS played just fine so hopefully an update will resolve the problem. My guess is that a process on the 4s needs to be disabled to play the game.

If the host player is using an iPhone 4S or an iPad 2, then yes you can join that race with an iPod touch.

To use party play do you airplay to an AppleTV or to a Mac? If a Mac do you need AirPlay server for Mac? Is 1.12 forthcoming? My RR2 on Mac is only 1.0.1.
