    RR2 over the HDMI cable supports 1080p. What about the wireless solution? Only 720 or still 1080?

    I've already tried it. The delay isn't even noticeable. However, there was some frame choppiness when my airport wasn't on “N” only. I had a G wireless card on a old desktop on the same network slowing me down. When I switched to N only, it was smooth as butter, and supper AWESOME!

    it already works now if you are a apple dev. Just add your apple tv to your dev account, install iOS 5 on iPad and Apple TV and you are golden. Seeing as how the appleTV2 only supports 720P I think it is down sampled but it fills the entire screen.

    Not if it uses AirPlay mirroring… if it just used AirPlay I don’t see why it wouldn’t work on iOS4 so…

    AirPlay Mirroring is a iOS5 feature, which has come to the iPad 1.

    If you're a developer with access to the iOS5 beta and you have the iPad 2 and a copy of Real Racing 2 HD, you can already test it in the currently live version of the game on the App Store:

    Please know that since iOS5 is in beta it may not represent final quality of the OS or game.

    Is it just me, or did this app just jump in price by $3? The Apple site says 12.99. I'm still waiting for a sale, since most of the enhancements in the updates are for iPad 2 (I have the 1st)

    Amazing news, I really didn't think it was possible because of the buffering delay. The question is, is this how Apple is bringing apps to the Apple TV, or will it get its own native apps….

    iOS5 will be available on iPad 1, yes. AirPlay Mirroring only works with iPad 2 at this stage, though.

    Can someone please provide instructions on how to do this? I understand how to do it when you're using the HDMI cable. But wheres the option to choose my Apple TV? I'm using iOS 5 and an iPad 2 as well.

    I just picked up RR2HD because of the sale price and I'm going to try it with the HDMI cable. Can't wait for iOS 5 to hit us. I knew the Apple TV was going to be worth having!

    Yes, full mirroring on iPad 2 only. Not hd.

    The McLaren F1 cannot be purchased, it is given as a gift after you complete career mode.

    Pretty sure the update to RR2HD has not released yet but wanted to check as a lot of people have beta ios5 installed so could be worth getting it out to the public.

    Can the AirPlay feature be used on the beta or not?

    It has been working for some people so far, but we can't guarantee it'll correctly work until iOS5 is officially released to the public.

    Yeah after I posted the comment I recalled that it did work for me in beta 1 but hasnt since (and still doesnt with Beta 5 on the Iapd 2 and beta 4 (latest) for Apple TV. Look forward to the public release

    Perhaps include some Australian cars. (As I’m fairly sure you’re an Australian company, or perhaps I’m wrong). Examples would be the HSV W427 that was released in 2008 or the FPV 335 GT that was released only this year. Looking into the future, the possible HSV GTS-R or the FPV GT-HO.

    I just installed the AirPlay update and iOS 5 on my ipad2 but I can’t seem to get the mirror, and don’t see the airplay icon in RP2HD when I open it. Can somebody tell me what I am doing wrong?

    doesn´t work for me! Ipad 2, IOS 5, RealRacing HD Update, Apple TV2 …. only sound … it seems the proggy is buggy :-(

    Hi, I have an ipad 2 running ios 5 and an apple tv running the latest update and a big tv! I got the mirroring fine by double clicking the round button on the ipad 2 this reveals a strip of icons at the bottom. go all the way right until a media control bar appears. click on the airplay symbol and switch it on. I then get the game running on the big screen fine and the telemetry on the ipad 2. HOWEVER!  when there is any action ie a collision or such, the picture freezes and glitches and goes choppy on the tv  what am i doing wrong? any help needed……cheers,

    I am having the same issues as others, it keeps freezing up anytime there’s any type of collision.

    Yep me too. All seems ok for a while then will just freeze and lose your position in the race and end up crashing.

    What is going on??

    Also the picture quality is not that great over AirPlay too? Any ideas on this?
