Flight Control HD is elegantly simple and unbelievably addictive. It’s easy to get into, but almost impossible to stop!
In Flight Control HD, you’re in charge of an increasingly busy airport. Direct aircraft to their correct landing zone – but if they collide, it’s game over for you! If you think that sounds easy, wait until the planes arrive thick and fast…
Flight Control HD is perfect for trying out the PlayStation®Move motion controller, thanks to its responsive and precise controls. Use the PS Move like an extension of your arm, and point to the aircraft you want to control to move the on-screen cursor over it. When the cursor gets close enough, a “selection circle” will appear around the aircraft. Push the Move button on top of the controller or the trigger button on its underside, and hold it down while moving the controller to trace the path you want the aircraft to follow. Release the button over the correct landing zone to lock in for descent.
To start using a Move controller, turn it on by pressing the PlayStation button. The calibration screen will appear – if you are currently in a game, it will pause automatically. Point the controller to where you think the center of the screen is and push the Move button to calibrate. The PlayStation®Eye camera will assess the colours in the environment (walls, furniture, your clothing etc) and choose a colour for the controller that provides good contrast, and you’re ready to play. You can recalibrate the controller at any time by pointing it at the center of the screen and pushing the Square button.
While Flight Control is designed with the Move controller in mind, you can also use a DUALSHOCK®3 controller. This is particularly useful in multiplayer situations where you might not have four Move controllers available. Use the left stick to move your cursor around the screen, and hold X to select an aircraft. Then trace a line with the left stick to the correct landing zone and release the X button to lock it in. You can also use the D-pad to cycle through the aircraft currently on the screen, (probably the fastest way to select them!)
Any game can become a cooperative multiplayer game for up to four people, as players drop in by turning on additional controllers. The aim is to work together to land as many aircraft as possible! How exactly you manage that is up to you… decide to share controller duties by aircraft colour, spawn point or just go for a mad scramble.
If you have a 3D TV and matching stereoscopic 3D glasses, you can experience Flight Control like never before in stereoscopic 3D! See planes floating above the landscape and appear to descend as they land. It’s 3D like it was meant to be – smooth and unobtrusive.
Without a doubt, this is the best looking adaptation of Flight Control yet! While staying true to the classic “Golden Era of Aviation” style, all the art throughout has been lovingly recreated in high resolution. Particle effects and subtle animations have also been added.

The all-new Japanese-inspired Metropolis map is exclusive to PlayStation! Featuring a day/night cycle, a first for Flight Control, Metropolis gets darker at night and lighter again during the day. At night, running lights on the planes as well as lights on the ground turn on for an extra night-flying challenge.
There are nine different airfields, including four super-sized airfields, and sixteen different aircraft including planes, helicopters and military jets. Settings vary from lush green fields to a resort setting with seaplanes, the Australian Outback featuring an emergency air ambulance plane that can’t be controlled, an aircraft carrier that slowly rotates while a range of fast military aircraft attempt landings; and a windy winter wonderland, where drifting snow and a windsock show the prevailing wind direction and runways close and reopen accordingly.

Flight Control HD comes complete with a set of trophies to collect, as well as online leaderboards – so start collecting and landing those planes for extra bragging rights!
